Steam Boiler Replacement
Great savings $$ can be obtained when an old steam boiler is
replaced.
They've proven to be both durable and reliable, however, 60-80
year old boilers (still heating many US homes today) are only
50-60% efficient. Small returns on your energy-investment can also
be expected when a boiler has been improperly sized.
Efficiency
ratings for properly sized modern steam boilers range from 81%-83%.
That would equal a 20-30% fuel savings alone. I'm sure you're
thinking: "That would be GREAT!", but wait, it gets better!
A modern boiler replacement is only one

much less for efficiency.
Steam System Surveys
Because of today's boilers that burn
natural gas or fuel oil instead of coal, many older systems are
still in need of being updated to today's standards. Old, sagging

operation as well.
